Detecting the early signs of a stroke

Each year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke – it is the third most common cause of death and the leading cause of severe disability. For this reason BFG Healthcare Marketing looked at the latest technology available to see if it was possible to create a screening service that could help detect the early signs of a stroke, with tests that are cost-effective and easy to carry out in the high street pharmacy environment.

To evaluate the full feasibility of the concept BFG Healthcare Marketing partnered with GE Healthcare, the world’s leading manufacturer in cardiology diagnostic products, to develop a state-of-the-art solution for stroke assessment screening.

The result is a unique solution specially created for GE Healthcare for the pharmacy environment, offering worried consumers an elective, comprehensive and affordable stroke assessment for the first time.

BFG Healthcare Marketing has also worked closely with GE Healthcare in other areas including Osteoporosis patient care.
